The Days are Numbered

It's only a matter of a few days until boycotting students' sessions will be annulled, warns the Fédération des cégeps.

"We have less than a week left. Within the next few days, the session will have to be canceled, with a failing grade," insists the CEO, Jean Beauchesne.

He says he discussed the matter with the Minister of Education and that they are "on the same wavelength".

Space for others

Mr. Beauchesne thus warns students who have decided to continue their course boycott, notably at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal.

"We are very serious. Finishing the session in three weeks and giving out diplomas is out of the question."

"I repeat: our wiggle room is limited. We cannot keep the incoming students waiting forever. Cégep students who wish to keep boycotting their courses will have to give up on their session.

For the moment no deadline marking a session cancellation for strikers has been established.
